FYF Fest 2015 Showcased Some of the Most Talented People in Music

After experiencing multiple music festivals, there is something unique about Fuck You Fest (FYF Fest). Unlike other music festivals, FYF Fest doesn’t put effort into being ‘cool’ which is what makes it meaningful. For example, Frank Ocean backed out as headliner and Kanye West took his spot just a few days before the festival. Now, I’ve seen Kanye more times than I can count and his opinionated antics overshadow his talent. This performance was not the Kanye that I knew. He literally lit up the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum with his hits. Travis Scott was a guest performer and Rihanna popped out of the crowd to sing All of The Lights and Four Five Seconds. None of it seemed staged, and felt as if it came purely from the heart. Kanye saved the day and made us be like “Frank Ocean who?”. Other main acts included Purity Ring, Morrissey, FKA Twigs and Chet Faker.
