Invite Only – Blu Dot, Minneapolis-based designer and maker of modern home furnishings, is opening a new store in West Hollywood this month. I’d like to personally invite you to the grand opening party, which will be held in the new store Wednesday, August 17, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The previous Los Angeles store, open from 2011 to 2016, experienced consistently strong growth during its tenure. In 2016, the Blu Dot team decided it was high time to celebrate the love affair between Blu Dot and Los Angeles by creating twice the space for fans and friends of the brand’s real, good design. The new space is 6,600 square feet smack dab in the middle of LA’s design epicenter, at Beverly and Robertson.

Blu Dot partnered with Standard Architecture and Shawmut Design and Construction to renovate the space and just like the Blu Dot collection, its beauty matches its utility. A backlit, channel glass façade illuminates at night along the Beverly street scape. Inside, vertical slatted screens offset and scrim different vignettes on floor to create dynamic and free-flowing spaces. And a reclaimed bowstring truss ceiling adds a little soar to the top of the store.
