On Monday, June 13th, Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. hosted a private event in Los Angeles to kick off the 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Take-Two is a leading developer, marketer and publisher of interactive entertainment for consumers around the globe, including the industry’s leading franchises, Grand Theft Auto, NBA 2K, WWE 2K, Borderlands and Civilization. With a budget larger than most, Take-Two took over Cecconi’s in West Hollywood with an endless buffet of the finest food, a crowd filled with the brightest names in innovation and entertainment and on top of it a performance from Chance the Rapper.
Chance the Rapper had a stage visually fit for a festival performance placed in Cecconi’s outdoor patio. The crowd was truly excited when he came out, we spotted Nick Kroll and Jason Mantzoukas getting down to his songs. Chance gave a shoutout to Tracee Ellis Ross during his performance. The event also included DJ sets from Hannah Bronfman and Mia Moretti. After over exceeding our expectations, Take-Two handed out a gift bag filled with video games and a note sign from the Take-Two CEO himself Strauss Zelnick that read “Thank you for joining us”. Well played Take-Two… Well played.
