Last night, The Irish Film Board along with IDA celebrated Ireland’s Nine Academy Award nominations including seven shared between Brooklyn and Room with a special Oscar week event at Laurel Hardware in West Hollywood. Brooklyn and Room, two Irish-backed productions, are in the running for Best Picture at Sunday night’s ceremony, while Saoirse Ronan, Michael Fassbender, and director Lenny Abrahamson are all nominated for individual awards. The party brought out some of Ireland’s finest in film including Colin Farrell, Chris O’Dowd, Fionnula Flanagan, Ed Guiney, Aisha Tyler & Thomas Gibson among others.
