Clean Water For All at the 7th Annual Night of Generosity Ball

We were beyond honored to attend the 7th Annual Night of Generosity Ball located at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Friday night, November 6thGenerosity.Org provides clean water for communities in need around the world and on this particular night strived to provide clean water for 40,000 people in Haiti, Uganda, and Ghana. When Genoristy first started, over 1 billion people did not have access to clean water. Because of the global commitment to ending this water crisis, the number is down to 663 million. Even though that is still a large number, they are changing the world for the better, one step at a time.

Chaz Dean, owner of Wen Hair, is a top donor and shared memories of his personal trip to Haiti to visit the families who he helped. He stated how this trip changed his life and urged others to give. One of the speakers said something that night that really stuck to us. He said, “There are people that say that some causes are hopeless, that it’s never going to change.” That is the problem we have. If we dont take any actions to change the obstacles of our neighbors, then of course nothing is going to change. Because of Generosity, thousands of families now have access to clean water. Now, instead of spending hours a day walking to collect clean water, children have time to receive an education. That is something. That is change. And if we all worked together more often in pursuit of a common goal, imagine what we could do. We urge all of our readers as the holidays come up, to make a sacrifice for the better. Give up a present and dedicate it to someone else, whether it be providing clean water through Generosity or feeding the hungry at our local homeless shelters. Lets stop the doubt of others that this world cannot change. Let’s be the change. If you would like to learn more about how Generosity works or how you can participate/volunteer click HERE
